By the end of Fiscal Year 2076/2077, altogether 8247 industries are registered in Government of Nepal, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Department of Industries. It comprises 1172 large, 1856 medium and 5219 small scale industries. Categorically 3,911 enterprises registered are from manufacturing sector and 2,231 enterprises registered are from service sector. The table below provides the estimate of energy saving potential in Nepalese Industries extracted from the baseline study of NEEP 2012.
